-Au Petit Salut-

This French restauarant tucked away in a nook of Jln Merah Saga (yes! I finally remembered the name) is simple a rave! Yikes think my grammar has gone to pieces (another metaphor again!)...

Anyway went there for lunch again today and I simply enjoyed myself. For entrees there was sauteed of marinated octupus with fresh tomato and avocado. The main course was beef cheeks with potato and carrot (though my personal favourite is the cream of mushroom risotto which I had the last time) followed by the mouth-watering coconut souffle. Words simply fail me..the fluffiness of the souffle is magical. Made my friend ask me for the umpteen time: can you make souffle? To which my answer is a sad no. Hm, every time I go there, am inevitably reminded of someone..haha..

The time after lunch was spent leisurely shopping around Jln Merah Saga (yes what else can a shopaholic do?). Cho-Lon was truly exotic with its myraids of books and colonial furniture. Makes me want to be a tai-tai...(yikes already deemed by all and sundry to be high maintainance. Ahem, all right, I shall self maintain). Da paolo gastronomia looked very tempting with its sherbets and gelato. But the price was enough to put one off-$4.00 for a bag of butter cookies. Gosh I should honestly consider setting up my own bakery..

Hm, my posts have all been about food recently..must be the baking craze recently.
